Introduction to Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer

The Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer is an automated instrument used to determine nitrogen and protein content based on the Kjeldahl nitrogen method. It can be widely used for nitrogen and protein analysis in food processing, feed production, tobacco, animal husbandry, soil and fertilizer, environmental monitoring, medicine, agriculture, scientific research, teaching and other fields.

According to the principle of Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method, the instrument automatically adds reagents, distills, absorbs, titrates and outputs test results for the digested sample, which can be nitrogen content or converted to protein content. The specific reaction steps are as follows: ammonium sulfate produced after sample digestion reacts with alkali to produce ammonia gas. The ammonia gas and steam are condensed together through a condenser and collected in an absorption solution containing boric acid. At the same time, the indicator in the absorption solution changes color, and then the instrument performs automatic titration. The color sensor can automatically determine the titration endpoint, and the nitrogen content of the sample can be calculated based on the consumption of standard titration acid.
